The two year M.Sc. Biotechnology program has four semesters. These covers topics as:: Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Biomathematics and Statistics, Bio-analytical techniques, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Immunology, Bioinformatics, Genetic Engineering, Enzyme technology, Bioprocess Engineering & Technology, Biosafety & Bioethics, Research Methodology etc. in the first three semesters. There are number of elective courses as: Biopharmaceutical, Food Biotechnology, Environmental Biotechnology, Clinical Biotechnology, Molecular Modeling & Drug Designing. The quantum and level of these courses are decided by Board of Studies and approved by the Faculty of Technology, Academic Council and Board of Management. The course structure is given at the end of this document. At the end of semester's I-III there would be a university examination for the theory component and a practical exam.
