Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Pune, India cordially invites you to participate in the “Industry-Academia Conclave 2018 (IAC-2018)” being organized by Dr. D.Y. Patil Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Institute on 23rd and 24th February 2018.

Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth was established in the year 2003 under section 3 of the UGC act 1956, Government of India and is re-accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade. The Vidyapeeth has seven constituent Institutions at Pune, viz. Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College & Hospital, Dr. D. Y. Patil Biotechnology & Bioinformatics Institute, Global Business School & Research Centre, Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Nursing, Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Physiotherapy and Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Optometry and Visual Sciences.

Dr. D. Y. Patil Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Institute provide high quality research under the guidance of scientists trained in leading national and international institutes. The institute gives thrust to quality higher education by supporting research based learning in Biotechnology, Medical Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. The institute has received funding from Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, Department of Science and Technology, Goverment of India and Department of Biotechnology, Goverment of India with funding upto 11 crores. The institute has international collabrations with Unviersity of Skoude, Sweden, Orebro Unviersity, Sweden, University Of Sfax, Tunisia for academic and research exchanges.

Academic learning is offered with an inkling of career relevance, social responsibilities and a conducive environment for the teaching and learning process. Students get to interact and work with these well-known scientists to shape their career from the initial stages of their academic life, thus making institution unique and set it apart from the rest.

The contributions of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics are well recognized in the field of agriculture, medicine, food industry, environment safety and allied areas. This conclave will provide a platform for students, research scholars, academicians and industries to interact and share the recent knowledge in various contemporary areas in Biology and Biotechnology.
