The Biotechnology and Bioinformatics curricula are developed so as to impart skills of an engineer in design and improve the design, modeling and simulation to meet the needs of 21st century Biotech Industry and research. Students are given training in communication skills, humanity, quality control, Quality assurance, basic disciplines as: physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, basic Biology etc. Allied subjects are given importance. Biotechnology students are given 35% training in Bioinformatics subjects as: computer hardware and software, data management, data warehousing, Biological databases, proteomics, genomics drug designing. Bioinformatics students have been given 35% courses in Biotechnology in order to familiarize themselves with the industry. It is our endure to ensure that students develop:

1. Ability to design experiments involving live organisms, perform and control such experiments and interpret results obtained;
2. Ability to identify, formulate and solve biotechnology related problems in healthcare, agriculture, environment and energy sectors;
3. Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, chemistry, biology and engineering in an engineering problem-solving framework;
4. Ability to assess new biomaterials and bio-processing techniques for improving efficiency or reducing pollution;
5. Ability to use Bioinformatics tools
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
7. Ability to work harmoniously in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams;
8. Understanding of professional and ethical responsibility;
